Segera's five Garden Villas are set in landscaped botanical gardens centred around a vast swimming pool and surrounded by a cactus wall. This cactus 'boma' creates a safe haven so you can stroll around freely night and day. There is a wonderful four bedroomed Family Villa and the four other Garden Villas are romantic, one-bedroomed spaces with the option of sleep-out beds and private outdoor dining spaces.
Each thatched villa sits high on stilts gazing out across the savannahs and woodlands to the waterholes and salt licks that magnetise wildlife. With outdoor baths, en-suite bathrooms and private decks they are perfect for honeymooners.
With the same decorative mix as the rest of the camp, rooms offer just the right dose of safari fantasy: Mine had a four-poster bed with a mosquito net; a delicate 19th-century English writing desk and campaign bar with inlaid wood; club chairs slipped in oatmeal Belgian linen; a shower tented in grommeted canvas, wood floors and exposed wooden beams. You aren't in an actual tent, though the natural materials and style achieve the perfect balance of indoor and outdoor.
